I began blogging about two years ago when I wanted to make money marketing products from my network marketing company. I had an SEO company help me to get the blog up and going and then I went through a short training on how to post an article. I had no clue what I should write on my blog. They also told me to put my keywords in the section for the tags so I guessed at what I should put in there. Needless to say, I got nowhere with sales from my blog and the money was not well spent.

Now, two years later I have been a part of the blogging classes at the 7 figure internet school that I belong to. Little by little I have been learning exactly what I need to do to get my blog elevated to page one of Google on certain keywords. I was still a little unsure of how to choose a great title and good supporting keywords.

Last week on one of our trainings, our instructor held a special training for us on choosing Great Titles and finding excellent keyword phrases for our tags. I was so happy that our trainers recognized that we needed some help in this area and changed their training schedule so those of us who are students could begin to master the art of picking a title and great tags for our blogs that will get us good ranking. My confidence keeps growing and growing as I learn the secrets of blogging.

It seemed as if my labor was in vein when I first began blogging, but my efforts led up to where I am now. It is likely that you have heard someone who is successful talk about living a better life than you have right now…the kind of life most people only dream about. They probably inspired you to think about living your life according to where you want to go rather than living the rest of your life according to your present circumstances. You’ve heard others talk about how they were flat broke and started with nothing, but built their business to a multiple six figure and even seven figure incomes… and they encouraged you that you can do the same thing so that YOU also can become financially independent.

What the millionaire didn’t tell you is what was going to be required on your part to achieve the same success: and maybe it is a good thing he didn’t or they might have scared you away or left you doubting rather than believing. My confidence and self worth were actually declining and my mind was racing with thoughts of failure.

Here I was, like many others, faced with a major challenge. Do I throw in the towel and quit?…or do I persist and work hard on building the attributes that are necessary to make me financially independent like I want to be. My answer was this: I am going to search the matter out until I find the right niche and the right people who can take me there.

Is there anyone out there I can even Trust?

Does anyone tell the Truth anymore?

Is there even a legitimate internet business that I can start?

These were some of the questions I was wrestling with after being deceived by Hot Cars and Big Houses, promises of success if I joined their program, promises of all the help I needed and after being scammed and lied to. I had these words of doubt running through my mind: Is there anything Legitimate out there!?

The Idea of marketing on the Internet was very appealing to me. After being involved in an MLM, I knew the power of residual income but I wanted to incorporate the internet with my business. I received call after call after submitting my name only to a few sites. Well trained recruiters painted a beautiful picture to me how I could become very RICH if I purchase THEIR business package; and some of them said it would all be done on auto pilot! That meant I did not have to work hard at it…quite appealing.

Well, I fell for a few of those to the tune of several thousand dollars. The first company was a complete scam and was shut down by the Government! The other two took my money and I never saw a sale; no, not one. The coaching and help that I was suppose to receive never happened. Only, sales reps would call twisting my arm to upgrade my package. I felt like all anyone wanted was my money and that no one cared about helping me to make money. I just wanted to start a legitimate home based business and make some money.

Fortunately, I still had a source of income or my family and I would have starved to death. My banker was getting a bit nervous too. Growing up on the farm, I learned to work hard and to be responsible. My parents and community taught me to walk in integrity and to be truthful at all times…even if it costs me financially.

My heart was set on being a successful Internet marketer. Though I was hurt and disappointed, I kept pressing on. Thank God that I ran into someone who spoke the truth and got me set on the right path…someone with integrity who wasn’t after my money but sincerely wanted to help me. I had found someone that I could believe and trust and they didn’t always say what I wanted to hear either. But it was what I needed to hear! Now I want to return the favor others who are struggling to make money from home by helping them to find true legitimate opportunities and avoid the scams and above all, loosing money.

Here is my advice. Don’t buy into anything quickly. First get acquainted with the company or opportunity. Be sure you understand the important things about it. Then talk to someone knowledgeable about the company and then don’t proceed unless you feel that you can trust them. Any legitimate business will understand this and will hold their best deal for you while you build rapport with them.

Now that we are in the age of computers and the Internet, the way that people live and work has changed: and it will change even more in the next 10 years. You say, “But it’s a mine field out there! How do I even begin to decipher what is Legitimate and what is not?”.

So what is a legitimate home based business.
1. First of all, a product or service is bought or sold. No product or service: not legitimate.
2. The product has to have value to the person buying it. No perceived value: not legitimate.
3. There is the option to speak directly to a sponsor or company representative.
4. All payments are made legally and appear on a statement. Ex. Credit Card
5. Profit is made by the business owner when a sale is made.

· Sufficient training and support (this is crucial)
· Access to the leadership of the company (whenever you need help)
· Are there any hidden costs
· Can I cancel my membership at any time
· Full disclosure of the companies opportunity (usually a website)
· No pressure to sign up. Can get the same price at a later date.
· Hear what others are saying. Ask on forums. Do an internet search.

Do your due diligence. Check it out. Take your time if needed but don’t procrastinate too long. Yes there are many offers that are not legitimate so be cautious. Ask questions and find someone you feel you can trust. There are also many good people out there ready to help you.

How Can Being More Decisive Make You a More Effective Marketer

Have you ever had those days when it seemed like you just didn't get much accomplished? I'm sure we have all had that experience in the past but lets take a look at how it can affect the profits of your business.

When you get involved with a Home Based Internet Business where you now work for yourself, decisive decision making takes on a new perspective. Here's why.

Most of us have had a job of some type where we received our instructions from someone else; probably our boss. And at the end of the day we had to answer to him or her concerning what we actually got accomplished for the day. If we did not finish our work assigned to us, there was a consequence to face.

Now that I have a Home Based Internet Business, there is no one to dictate precisely what my assignment is for the day. For me, I do very well when I have a decisive or specific list of things that need to be accomplished for the day. As a farmer, there are days when there are certain procedures that MUST be done. Then there are days when nothing is pressing and I can do 'whatever' to fill my day. Those are the days that I don’t seem to get as much accomplished.

Now that I am involved with a Home Based Internet Business for multiple streams of income, I find this principle to hold true. When I am decisive about what I am going to get accomplished during the time allotment that I have available to work my business, it seems as if I get little done. Yes, I am faithful to put the time in but there are so many avenues in which I can go down that unless I decide exactly what I am going to do, I don’t get much of anything done that ‘really counts’. You know what I mean; makes my business grow, get more customers, and most importantly - make money. Yes, I may have put my time in but if my plan was to ‘work on my business’ that would mean that I could do one of a hundred different things.

Well, my business coach challenged me in his entrepreneur developement program, to be more decisive as to exactly what I am going to accomplish each day and to even break it down into time segments and precisely what I am going to focus on during that time. Will it be advertising? Calling my leads or writing an article like I am doing right now? And more specific, where am I going to advertise? Google, Craigslist, safelists, email list or all four? What I have learned is that when I choose to be very specific as to the tasks I am going to do each day, that I am able to get so much more accomplished involving those important things that will really count. And that means making more money in my business.

So from now on, I want to challenge you to write down the things that you choose to get accomplished each day. Be specific. Be decisive!

I am thankful for my mentor who has helped me to understand this concept and who now holds me accountable as to whether I am staying on task each day.

Why People Fail in Their Home Business Venture

There are typically two primary reasons why people fail in a MLM & affiliate marketing business … These are of course, after you kick out the tire-kickers, dreamers , excuse makers, whiners, and complainers or the looky-loos and lazy bums. In other words, the quitters. MLM is a business of business ownership, pursued by people who have never been business owners! It’s a business of marketing and training pursued by people who have never marketed or trained!

So, what are the two reasons for the hard-working, dedicated people who come into this wonderful industry …

1- They start on a limited budget from the ‘cookie jar’, and they run out of money before they have a chance to build an organization.

2- They make their list of 100 warm market contacts, run through those, and then they are out of people to talk to. (And out of money to advertise).

Those are the ‘biggies’. But it doesn’t have to be that way, IF, they simply used a complete business model.

Let me give you an example…

Take a look at McDonald’s Hamburger place. They are a Billion Dollar franchise. The most successful and duplicated business model in the world. And one that happens to be run by teenagers and college drop-outs!

How? And Why? can this be?

The answer can be found in the system that makes up the foundation of the franchise. Many of us felt like we bought a business in a box, but that a few parts were missing.
You know … The pieces that actually turn your actions into “production” and “profits”. Well, if you feel like that, it’s because you’re right. Ray Kroc, the franchise master of McDonald’s was a genius in more ways than one. MLM & affiliate marketing has been compared to a McDonald’s franchise in many ways, on many occasions. If you haven’t come across these comparisons before, I’m sure you can quickly think of a few on your own. Here is what you may not have realized about Ray, McDonald’s, and your business …

Ray’s primary mission was to sell McDonald’s franchises to franchise buyers

… which then sell the burgers to the customers. More franchises = more burgers sold. Pretty simple. Our job as networkers is no different. We sell our franchise opportunity to others, and collectively market the product to the end consumer.
Here’s the interesting part to this …
Would you say that McDonald’s hamburgers are the best in the industry? Probably not! We’ve both had much better tasting hamburgers, yet it’s the largest and most successful franchise and fast food restaurant in the history of human kind. How in the world is that possible!?

How can you become #1, by selling an inferior product?!

It goes against everything we think we know about business. Well, this is exactly where the genius of Ray Kroc becomes apparent. Ray knew the product wasn’t going to be the initial key to success for his franchise buyers, just as your product is not the initial key to your success in your mlm or affiliate business. Having a good product is important after the fact …
Once you actually have customers. Then it’s critical to give them the best product possible. The key to McDonald’s success with both franchise owners and customers, was their duplicatable system.

Ray knew his food would not compare to the quality of other franchises. He also knew that potential franchise buyers didn’t give a hoot about McDonald’s or their burgers. What they did want though, was to make money.

So Ray sold them EXACTLY what they wanted, which wasn’t a restaurant, but a machine that acquired customers, and turned them into cash.

He didn’t sell them the food, he sold them a system. In fact the system was so fine-tuned, that you could take a team of unskilled, inexperienced high school kids, and have them run the show.
All they did was train each other on how to flip the switches that ran the machine, which did the majority of the work behind the scenes.

The competition didn’t stand a chance. Ray’s system was like a factory. You turn it on, and it churns out a predictable end result every time. Franchise owners started buying and setting these machines up by the thousands, turned them on, and got the end result. It was the same every time. That is why they bought McDonald’s and it’s inferior food over the competition. As these machines popped up around the country, the end product to the consumer became more than just food. It became the predictable expectation and atmosphere provided by Ray’s magical machines. And THAT is what McDonald’s provides better than anyone else in the world. That is their TRUE product to the end consumer, and it’s the best in the world at what it provides. You go to McDonald’s because you know exactly what to expect; Fast, Same taste every time, Same atmosphere in every place. It’s a comfort for people.

So, as a network marketer, selling a business franchise, what are you going to sell to your potential buyers?
Unfortunately, most of us try to sell them on your company and your product. We have a ton of websites and material about our company’s history, their record breaking growth, their debt-free finances, the value of your product(s), the user testimonials …and so on. Be smart. Do what Ray did. People get rich in this world by solving other people’s problems, and when you sell someone your opportunity, you are not solving a problem, you are giving them a BIGGER ONE!!! “Congrats, you own the hottest MLM business in the industry”! Now go get’em tiger!” But be sure to get this; Product and Comp plans don’t make you successful.

Systems do. And when I say systems, I mean a complete system which includes the pieces that bring in your customers (advertising), sell them your product (marketing), and then deliver the goods, trains the new business owners(training), and develops the relationships within the team(relationship building). Many companies or their affiliates will tell you “All you need to do is push the’Go Button’ and these machines (ads and marketing) should be doing the work for you; so I thought!

This is where the problem lies today. Almost all of the systems that I have seen are only partial. They are incomplete and lack key ingredients that are needed for the serious entrepreneur to be successful from the start without having to fork out much money. Most systems only teach you to purchase your leads when all along there are several other ways to get them for Free. In other words: you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make money.

When it comes to marketing, most of the time we are only given the basic ground level training that is essential to get started but seldom do we see training at a level that brings you to Mastery of the process.

A system is duplicatable but you are not. This is where the biggest challenge lies. Prospective business owners are not just looking for a system. They are looking for someone to take them by the hand and guide them until they can ‘learn to walk’ in this industry. And like I said in the beginning, most of us have never marketed or trained others before and now are having to do this daily. Yikes! Over 90 percent of the people were overcome by this challenge and failed to make it in their new business. This is where I, myself, and my company are redefining this industry. A success rate of a measly 3% was not acceptable, so we decided to do something about it and that was to come up with a truly complete system and program that teaches all of the Secrets that the top producers use and offer a personal development program that will give everyone the opportunity to become the leader and mentor that others will chase after, because they want to follow you.
Your job is not to sell, but to BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, because THAT is the glue that binds this industry.

Take this advice to heart:

A system that is not backed up and glued together by heartfelt caring, by people, by relationships, is a ticking time-bomb. Show them and sell them a system for attaining the results they want, be a mentor, friend, and a coach, and they couldn’t care less about ORAC values, price points, and competition. Being Successful Requires Overcoming Fear

Fear is a distressing emotion that if not overcome, can cause even the best of the best to pull away and hide from the dread of failure.

Fear = a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.

Yes, everyone faces fear! Even those who seem to be some of the strongest and boldest leaders often face the trepidation that fear brings. We often imagine what might happen if things don’t go right.

When we begin a new venture; maybe a new business venture or maybe meeting someone for the first time or maybe you are starting a new job that you just got hired onto or you are called on to give a talk or speech in front of a lot of people, or maybe you are just shy to meet new people, almost without exception, we all feel an apprehension about stepping out and doing that new thing. Some things such as auto racing never get past the feeling of fear because of the danger that is involved. I am a semi truck driver and when I am loaded to 80,000 pounds, there is an adrenalin flow that I always have because of a slight fear because of the dangers present. There always seems to be an apprehension of what could happen out there on the road. Even if I don’t make a mistake, what if someone else does?!

Do I let that fear keep me from starting out on a trip? Do I shudder at the thoughts of what could happen? Maybe for a moment! But then I face the fear and say NO, “I am not going to let this fear stop me from going”, although I embrace the potential for danger and proceed with caution. The more I drove, the less the fear became, but to this day it is still there to a degree.
I believe that fear is good in the fact that it is there to protect us. To protect us from doing something stupid without giving any thought to the consequences that could happen. Fear can be a bad thing if it cripples us so much that we are not able to move forward: to give that speech, to take off with the truck, to start a business venture or to just pick up the phone and call someone. We are all affected to a different degree by certain fears. For example, I am not afraid to go out on the water and water ski like some are but to pick up the phone and call a prospect about my business opportunity; that was crippling for me at first.

What if I am rejected by the person I am about to talk to?

What if I can’t think of what to say?
or
What if I don’t please my new boss?

What if I go off the road and damage my load?

What will my family and friends think of me if I fail?

This is a list of common fears that we face on a daily basis. The fear of failing has kept many a people from accomplishing their goals. Are you going to let it stop you? Oftentimes we need help from others to overcome our fear. It is important to have someone you can listen to and receive encouragement on a daily basis. My personal development coach has been crucial to overcoming my fear. Although the fear has not left completely, I am no longer crippled by its affects and I get the job done whether it is submitting an article, talking on the phone to a new business prospect risking some of my hard earned money making an investment in something that has profit potential or doing something that I think is going to be criticized by others.

Am I afraid I might fail? I might. But if I do, I will get up and try again; hopefully this time with more wisdom and understanding so I will be more apt to succeed. Like one of my mentors said “if you fail, fail forward”. I was told to learn from my failures and use them as a stepping stone to grow upon.

So next time fear stares you in the face what are you going to do? Are you going to be cowardly and let fear defeat you? Or are you going to face it head on and tell yourself “success or failure, I am going to win the fight over fear. I’m not going to let some emotion defeat me because it is not really true anyway”. Even if we are to fail at this attempt, we have not failed unless we quit and don’t try again.

The Discipline of Breaking Old Habits

The reason most of us engage in any business, whether a home business or a conventional business, is to MAKE MONEY! But more often than not, there are things that each of us struggle with that keeps us from achieving the success that we desire. What can we do to fix these problems? How can I get past my fears and lack of action? How do I break a my bad habits?

This past year, I have been a part of an Entrepreneurial Development program. We join together via telephone five days a week and receive encouragement and challenges from skillful mentors. They understand what it is that we are facing because they themselves have had to face the same challenges and fears that we all face to overcome them. For me, it has been a challenge to do my daily chore of doing my internet marketing. My other work gets priority or family schedules etch out the hours and minutes of my day.

I began to realize that I was not making headway with these issues on my own but when my mentor and business coach began to challenge me in these areas, I learned what it was that I needed to do in order to achieve consistency in my marketing endeavors. My mentor taught me that I needed to choose one thing I wanted to conquer or one habit that I wanted to break. Then stick with it for 8 weeks and make sure to do the task or refrain from doing a bad habit each and every day.

Now that I began to realize what it was that was holding me back, I am able to start retraining myself to make new habits and discipline myself each and every day. When the going gets tough, my trainer is there to give me the encouragement that I need to keep pressing on and not give up.

One by one, those things that were roadblocks to making the kind of money that I wanted to make are being laid to rest. With patience, bad habits are being broken and fears are being overcome.

Do you ever start out your day with great plans to get much accomplished? You are all excited about the ideas that you have and then… this comes up and then that. Your family needs your attention, you look at your emails and see that there are several items that draw your attention. Then it’s time to prepare a meal and get the mail…then bills to pay and now the kids are back from school and they need help with homework. Then there’s a game or a concert to attend and now time to get everyone to bed and… I have yet to get anything done with my home business!

Oh me!!! I feel like nothing has been accomplished today. How am I going to make money at this rate? Have you ever been in this situation? If you are a Home Business Entrepreneur, then you probably can identify with me very clearly. It happens to all of us. It sure has to me and until I started getting daily inspiration from an experienced mentor who knew how to help me in the many areas of my life that were keeping me from achieving the success that I wanted to achieve, I struggled and struggled.

Now after being mentored by a professional for the last year, I have learned to work through and around those incidentals that come up every day and still get my work completed. I have learned to set my priorities and what time of the day I need to wrap things up and most importantly, what things need to get done before I open my email or go to the mailbox or even before the kids get up for school. Without the help of my mentor, I would still be struggling with several of these obstacles. Now I am able to be challenged in other areas that will make me more productive and that means more successful financially and that’s that reason I’m in business in the first place.

Money – we all desire to have more of it. Yet for most people, despite their best efforts, attracting wealth remains outside of their grasp. This brings up these questions: Is it hard to make money? Is it true wealth is meant only for a few? Is there not enough money to go around so that everyone can have what they desire? I was surprised by my previously unexamined negative beliefs about money and wealth. Regardless of all the talk about attracting money these days, building wealth seams to avoid many of us - while at the same time, other areas of our live flourish and blossom. Why is this so?

No longer is manifestation a mystery. If you read the science of quantum physics, it explains it very well. Manifestation is simply a process. Every process can be broken down and analyzed. Once understood it can be intentionally applied to produce the desired result. There is a process for manifesting anything… including wealth.

The power to create wealth, etc. comes from applying the knowledge of the process of creation. There are many wonderful people sharing this process today. (thought + desire) x (belief + intent) = your result. You may perhaps, completely agree with and understand this equation. But understanding is only the beginning. Unless you take action and apply this process in your life, then it remains only a theory and your circumstances will remain unchanged.

The process of manifesting true wealth begins with the thought, the ideal model. You must Think the right thoughts. You must desire the end result. Believe in the actuality. Believe it to be so. Also believe in your right to be wealthy. Stop believing in shortage and lack for there really is none. Begin to clarify your objective. What exactly is your desire? Write it down. Keep it and read it every day. Also let go of your need to know “how” it is going to happen. Now, focus your energy and commit to making it so regardless of your current circumstances and appearances. You must deeply understand what it will mean to your life to see this accomplished. Eagerly desire wealth, don’t just wish for it! Understand that you deserve it just as much as others who have it.

Begin to virtualize what your life will be like. See it as if it is real. What does your life look like being wealthy. State it to be so by confessing it with your mouth. Start being thankful and grateful for it in your life. Show your appreciation for it. Attract wealth by being worthy of it. This was hard for me at first but I was able to eventually embrace it.Start to align your life with it and plan for it to be. Use your imagination.

Pay attention to what opportunities present themselves and take motivated action. Set specific goals and devise a game plan. Write it down and follow it. Be sure to stay true to your standards and really believe in what you are in the process of creating. Be sure to give God the glory.
Manifesting wealth is a very natural process. It can get obscured by our underlying thoughts about money and wealth. Most people focus on wanting more because we don’t have enough but our desire is interfered with by a belief in limitation and lack. We create our own barriers. Take the time now to expose and uncover those blocks. Apply the process and watch wealth begin to flow into your life naturally without having to struggle any more.

Are you living the life you would like to live? Or are you hoping that someday you will be able to live out your dream?

Most people have a picture in their mind how they would like to live and enjoy life. It is not wrong to desire to have a life that is far better than what you are living right now. Many of us have desires to accomplish certain things during our lifetime. For some, it might be to invent or develop something to help make life easier. For others, it might be to provide for those who do not have all of the necessities in life such as food, clothing, shelter, medical help, etc. Some people have an exploring itch and love to travel and do amazing things.

Well, if you have a dream to do something that is maybe out of the ordinary and will require lots of time and money to accomplish, you may be thinking that it just isn’t possible! I am writing this to encourage you that for every desire that God has put in your heart, He has made a way for you to accomplish that desire of yours. As an aspiring entrepreneur I was told by a coach of mine that if I wanted to grow in maturity as a business person, I would have to step out and do something every day that was outside of my comfort zone.
We all have things that we are afraid to do or don’t know what we are doing because we haven’t done it before. In order to overcome the fear or to learn the process, it is vital that we step out and try something new each and every day. On tasks such as building a website that are monumental to a beginner, we should take it one bite at a time and dive into a different segment until we learn how to do the whole thing. Once we have done it once, it won’t seem like an unconquerable feet any more.
This is true in anything new that we do. Whether a new home business or starting a blog or just meeting new people in person or on the phone. It is going to feel uncomfortable at first but once we get our feet wet, it won’t seem so difficult or so scary. An important part of my development on these areas is the entrepreneur development program that I participate in. When I face something that seems like a giant, there are people there to help me overcome the ant syndrome and to take the challenge like a warier.
I encourage you all to seek out a good entrepreneur coach to help you to get through the roadblocks and to overcome every obstacle that would otherwise keep you from being successful. Learn something new every day and challenge yourself to do something every day that stretches your ability and comfort level.

Have you ever thought to yourself ‘There is too much to learn… I’ll never be able to do this’? If you have, I want to encourage you to never give up.

It seems like others are able to understand the process of what to do, but I just don’t get it. Have you had those thoughts? I have. Too many times. But I want to share something with you to encourage you.

Everyone else who knows what they are doing had a time when they started and did not know what to do either. The reason that they are doing very well now is that they kept studying the industry and learning from others and from trial and error what works. They had the true entrepreneurial spirit. They did not give up. Instead, they kept reading and studying every day until they began to understand things enough so they knew exactly what it was they had to do every day.

I had these same questions. But someone told me that if I would study every day and listen to others teaching, I too would get to the place where I would be knowledgeable enough to be very successful. That is exactly what is happening. Every day I learn something new and now am an entrepreneur on the road to building wealth successfully. It’s difficult to know how to make money from home online for beginners. We search for something that will help us to make at least some money starting right away. Some do and some don’t. So in our desperation to make the money that we needed last week, we keep searching for the magic opportunity that will keep us afloat financially. Every one of finds out that there is no magic opportunity for us to make money from home using the internet.

But I keep reading the claims that so and so made over six figures last year. I want to do that too so bad that I can’t give up. I keep trying and trying refusing to give up. Which opportunity is right for me? Will I be able to succeed? Many people are asking themselves that question right now. If this is where you are at right now, please don’t give up. You can and will be successful if you persist.

Let me share what I’ve learned about finding something that works for me; something that will make me some money. There are many good opportunities selling great products on the internet using direct marketing and also through networking programs. Often times, we will check out several programs to find out which one will work the best only to find out that none of them are working. We get too spread out that we can’t give the proper attention to any of the business opportunities that we are checking out and it looks as if none of them is any good.

I have been in this scenario and thanks to the entrepreneur development program that have been a part of, I received help to realize that I had to narrow my focus and work on mastering one thing first before going on the the next. I learned that the best system for any of us is the one that we are focused on. Learn the system. Then learn some advertising strategies. Then learn how to communicate to your prospects and customers. It will take some time, but if we are persistent and keep developing our skills, we will succeed! The 21 Day Challenge has truly been a valuable challenge for me. I have realized that there are traits that every aspiring entrepreneur must aquire. We are busy people doing a lot of things so our day can get away from us without getting some of the important items accomplished. After setting my goals and pinpointing what is the most important things that I want to accomplish, I have had to take a look at my day. I only have so many hours to work with. How am I spending my time? What am I getting accomplished during my wakened hours. Does it work toward the fulfillment of my goal? Am I neglecting other important things that need to be taken care of?

I realized that there were things that I was doing that were being time robbers. Spending too much time looking through emails and reading them was one of them. I have now given myself five (5) minutes to look through my emails. I was watching videos and listening to recordings; many times to learn what others are doing to be successful. I have now realized that even though I might learn something helpful, if it keeps me from completing necessary work that my business requires or spending some time with my family, then it has to go.

Prior to this challenge, I got by with wasting valuable time and no one else knew…so I thought. Others knew because my business wasn’t growing like it should. I wasn’t making sales which translates into dollars of income which is the real reason I am involved in free enterprise business in the first place. Even if I don’t reach my 21 day goal, I will have attained something more valuable than my goal. I have learned much about

1. Fine tuning my goals- breaking them down into bite sized chunks
2. Planning my day- making the most of every hour
3. Cleaning house- getting rid of less important things that rob me of time
4. The importance of having a coach or someone to be held responsible

Yesterday in our Seize Your Day call Entrepreneur Developement session we talked about being a victim of our past and how it can keep us from moving forward in our lives. Are you a victim of your past or are you a victor? Being personally accountable for our actions is the first step in getting victory.

I found this article written by John Robson which I found to be helpful in understanding this toppic.

All of us carry wounds from the past. We may or may not be conscious of them. Either way, they inhibit our ability to embrace life. If we want more of life’s blessings, we need to heal our wounds – our repressed emotions and old patterns and limiting beliefs.How do we identify these wounds? We can dig deep into our memory banks in an effort to uncover the experiences that first brought us pain and trauma. Or we can address our pain when it surfaces in daily living.

The past makes itself known to us in the present. We get clues about subconscious issues when we become aware now that we are uncomfortable, in distress or pain. Pain is there for a reason: to make us conscious of what is presently unconscious in us. If we become aware that we are tense, angry, resentful or afraid, for example, we know something is calling for our attention. Unhappy memories from the past are being triggered. We have the opportunity to heal the past by dealing with our discomfort in this moment. We grow by moving into and through pain, not away from it. That’s the only way we can learn from it. And so we grow by embracing those qualities we instinctively want to resist. Our aim is to embrace the ‘bad’ and the ‘good’ in wholeness.

How do we do this? By bringing love into the situation and by using the power of imagination to see a bigger picture.A Healing Process: The 4 E’sThe 4 E’s give a basic framework for working with any challenges that arise so you may more easily learn their lessons and let them go. 1. Experience your realityBe aware of how you are feeling and allow yourself to experience your reality. We cannot heal something we have not yet owned! So really feel what’s happening in your body. Feel the emotions. Be aware of what you are thinking. Honour your experience by being present to it! What is it telling you?

2. Elevate and expand your perspectivesBecome an impartial but loving witness to your own personality’s experience. The key here is detachment. Elevate your perspective so you can see what’s going on without being swallowed up by it. As a witness to your own experience, do not judge, criticize, condemn or commiserate – just watch with compassion. From this perspective, ask yourself, “What am I being invited to learn?” When we glimpse the answer to this question, we find purpose in our suffering.

3. Embrace the lower and higher qualities together in wholenessIdentify the negative qualities that are challenging you, like fear, anger, doubt, jealousy, despair or grief. Then identify the opposite positive qualities. For example, the opposite of fear may be courage or love. The opposite of doubt may be faith. If this is a challenge for you, consider what you would prefer to be feeling. If you’re feeling angry, you might prefer to feel peaceful.Now use your imagination to sit with both qualities of the duality at the same time. (I imagine myself as a loving or courageous grandparent hugging the distressed part of me.) Recognize that both qualities are part of the same spectrum of experience. You cannot have one without the other. Together, they create wholeness. Also recognize that a part of you always has access to the higher energy. That’s what we have to learn. Trust that this experience of wholeness heals.

4. Express to anchor your experienceAnything you can do to reinforce the healing will strengthen the integration. For example, you might:• write about your experience in your journal. • meditate on your experience. • share your insights with someone you trust. • express forgiveness to yourself and/or others. Any effort to affirm accepting the ‘bad’ and the ‘good’ in wholeness will support a shift in consciousness. This simple process is powerful. Some degree of healing always occurs. It teaches us to acknowledge rather than resist our discomfort. It helps us abandon our need to be perfect and become authentic instead. It connects us to the higher qualities that are always available to us. It brings unconditional love to situations where love is typically absent. It helps us accept, forgive and love ourselves. And this is the essential first step before we can accept, forgive and love others.

Take time to learn the process by repeatedly doing the following exercise. Once you become familiar with the steps, you will be able to apply them on the spot, when you become aware that you are upset in some way. The more you explore and release the irritations and suffering that naturally arise daily, the more you will heal the past. Life will open up for you as your personality blossoms from your own unconditional love.EXERCISE: Learn the 4 E’s Healing ProcessFind some quiet time where you won’t be disturbed. Recall a recent experience that upset you. Close your eyes and use your memory to relive that scenario. When you’re ready, begin to work through the first 3 steps: Experience, Elevate or expand your perspectives and Embrace. When the pain of the memory has eased, gently and slowly bring your consciousness to the present and then take some action to Express what you’ve learned.

When choosing a business, there are several things to consider which are important to you making money or you losing money in your home business. Be sure to consider each of these points when making your decision.

· Continuity product program – does it continue to expand on a real time basis. This is important as the market is continually changing as well as the marketing strategies that we need to use.

· World Class Training - does the company you are looking at provide world class training and support? Most of the time the distributors and enrollers are providing most of the training which takes a lot of time and skills. Few people have the time and skills necessary.

· No pass up sales – When you get into business I assume that you are doing it to make money. If you make a sale, do you want to give those profits to someone else when you did the work and bore the expense? No. I wouldn’t either.

· In profit with only 3 people – Wouldn’t it be nice to be making money without having to recruit many people? Well you can in some business opportunities. Make sure that the business is set up so that you can start making profits fast. Also check the commission percentage. Seven or eight percent is pretty low. Aim for fifty percent, otherwise you will just be making money for your sponsor and upline.

· Marketing set up service – when we first get started, most of us don’t know anything about getting everything set up. Does company X offer me help in getting my marketing set up?

· Focus Group – will you have access to the leaders of the company? Can you share your ideas with someone who has the power to implement them in the company if they are viable? Will I have the opportunity to express my concerns or get things changed that don’t work. This should be on a regular basis.

· Combination of high and low profit points – Everyone has different needs and desires. Is there something for everyone or will I be limited to the few people who want what I have or can afford it? The majority of the people coming into this industry don’t have extra money.

· Ultimate product – What is the ultimate product? In the affiliate marketing and network marketing or MLM business arena, the most important thing for me or any newbie coming into the business is to have the proper training, teaching and entrepreneur development program so that their success can be certain. There are companies that provide this part of the equation and do a very good job at it. In the past, the industry has had a 97% failure rate and that has been largely because this part – the know how training – has been sorely missing. Make sure that you have this kind of training available even if you have to outsource it from your primary company.

Every aspiring athlete has a coach. The top athletes whether Olympic or Professional hire their own personal coach and trainer(s). Each trainer has their own specialty. Take Tiger Woods for example. He doesn’t just do it on his own.

Is it a weakness to need a coach to help you?

My answer to that is NO. A coach helps you to stay focused and accountable. There are so many opportunities around us to get us sidetracked. Whether it is family, entertainment, work or just wanting to take it easy, these things can keep us from reaching our goal. Or like many of us we needed help to believe in ourselves and in the business or we will not take the action that we need to take. You also need someone to teach you the skills that are necessary to be successful, whether in business or as an athlete or even as a mom or dad.

As a business owner, I want to be a successful as I can be. So I wanted to find the best mentor that I could find in my field of interest. For me that is in network marketing and internet marketing so I looked for a coach who was being very successful. In fact I have more than one coach because each person has their own areas of expertise. Some are good at goal setting while others are good with mindset and others are able to teach you the technical skills or communication skills that everyone needs to be successful.

So now, if you are wanting to be successful in something whether just starting out or wanting to go to the next level, begin looking for a mentor and a coach who can take you there. Everyone that I know of who has been very successful in anything has had a coach to help them get there. Now they too can be a mentor to others and what a fantastic way to build a business to help others to build their business because now everyone will want to join your business because you Know How!

Make You Day Count

Every day is a gift to us! What we make of it is totally up to you and me. Do you know what you are going to do today? Have you made any plans for your day yet?
As a business entrepreneur, I have goals and targets that I want to get accomplished. Some of those goals are long term like 5 to 10 years away but some of them are much shorter like one month to a year. What I do now will determine whether or not I attain those goals in the future or not. And if I really apply myself well and have a little luck, I may just blow right by those goals. Wouldn’t that be just great!

It all starts here and now. TODAY! Today must count. What is it that is the most important thing or task that you need to accomplish today. Then plan to do that task during a part of your day that you are at peek performance and are least likely to be interfered with. Each of us has our favorite time of the day in which we prefer to engage in those tasks that require our complete attention and concentration. You know when that is so when you plan your day, schedule the tasks that will require the most concentration during that time. Then go from there and schedule in the easier things that need to be done.

Those things might be washing clothes, mowing the lawn, washing dishes, fixing the car and the list goes on. Do you understand why you need to ‘seize your day’ if you are going to get all of those things done? For me, I have lots of things to do. As a farmer, there are times when I am very busy in the field or working on machinery or doing paper work. As an Organic farmer, there is a fair amount of documenting and record-keeping that needs to be done. So when am I going to do the necessary tasks that need to be done to build my internet marketing business?

Well for me that time is right now. Before I get busy with everything else. If I don’t take the time to do my marketing at the proper time, it just might not get done. And oh, I forgot about my family. Four kids and a wife… yes they need some time too! I’m sure that you get the idea by now. Each and every one of us needs to plan out our day so that we are sure that we accomplish those tasks that ‘must be done’ in order for us to reach our long term goals. Remember this-we will reach our long term goals and dreams because we reached our short term goals and that may be as short as planning one hour at a time.

I was told by an elderly person many years ago that a successful day starts the evening before. Start thinking about your next day. What do I want to accomplish and what do I need to line up now to make that happen. Also, what time do I need to start my day to get it all done. So maybe I should get to bed in a good time so I will get enough rest. Take some time to think about these things. Don't work youself too hard, be sur to take some time for R&R!

This past week I have been taking the 21 Day Challenge. It has been a good week and I am now getting more accomplished each day than I was before!
You might be wondering what is that all about? Well my entrepreneur development coach is the one who challenged each of her students to take the challenge. Our lives are filled with many different things.
